This Privacy Policy explains how NextRank, a product of Policy Assist LLC (“NextRank,” “we,” “us”), handles information collected through our marketing website at nextrank.io (the “Site”), including when you join our pre-launch waitlist. It applies only to this Site. Our mobile apps and candidate accounts are covered by a separate privacy policy provided within those products.
Information we collect
Information you provide. When you join the waitlist, we collect:
- Your email address (required).
- Optional details you choose to share: the exam type you’re studying for (state certification or agency/promotional), your U.S. state, and, for promotional exams, your agency name.
- A “source” label noting which page or campaign you came from.
Information collected automatically. Like most websites, our hosting provider records standard technical data such as your IP address, browser type, device, and the pages you view, for security, performance, and troubleshooting. We do not use advertising cookies, third-party analytics, or ad-tracking pixels on this Site.
We do not intentionally collect sensitive personal information through this Site, and we ask that you not include any in the optional fields.
How we use your information
We use the information you provide only to:
- Let you know when NextRank launches, and when your state’s certification exam or your promotional exam becomes available.
- Send you your founding-member confirmation and related launch updates.
- Understand which channels our early interest is coming from, so we can prioritize which states and exams to add.
- Operate, secure, and improve the Site.
We will not sell or rent your information, share it for advertising, or use it for marketing unrelated to NextRank’s launch.
How we share your information
We share information only with:
- Service providers who process it on our behalf: Resend (email delivery and waitlist contact storage) and Vercel (website hosting). They may use the data only to provide their services to us.
- Legal and safety: if required by law, or to protect our rights, our users, or the public.
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not “share” it for cross-context behavioral advertising, as those terms are defined under California law.
Data retention
We keep your waitlist information until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete it, or until it is no longer needed for the launch you signed up for. Automatically collected technical logs are retained for a limited period by our hosting provider.
Your choices and rights
- Unsubscribe at any time using the link in any email we send. We honor opt-out requests promptly.
- Access, correct, or delete the information you shared by emailing privacy@nextrank.io.
California residents (CCPA/CPRA). You have the right to know what personal information we collect and how we use it, to request access to or deletion of it, to correct inaccurate information, and not to be discriminated against for exercising these rights. Because we do not sell or share personal information, there is nothing to opt out of, and we do not collect or use sensitive personal information through this Site. To exercise your rights, email privacy@nextrank.io; we will verify your request using the email address on file.
Other U.S. states. If you live in a state with a comprehensive privacy law (for example, Virginia, Colorado, Connecticut, Texas, Utah, or Oregon), you have similar rights. Contact us to exercise them.
Global Privacy Control. Because we do not sell or share personal information and use no ad trackers on this Site, browser opt-out signals such as Global Privacy Control have nothing to act on here.
Children’s privacy
This Site is intended for adults preparing for professional exams. It is not directed to children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we will delete it.
Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect the information you share. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
International users
We operate this Site from the United States and process information there. If you access the Site from outside the U.S., you understand your information will be processed in the U.S.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. We will post the updated version here with a new “Last updated” date, and for material changes we will take reasonable steps to notify waitlist members.
